KHEER

                                                   

Serves-4


Ingredients:

Ghee -1tablespoon
Bay leaves -1
Black pepper -2 to3
Sugar -300gms
Rice -150gms
Milkmaid -100gms
Milk-2 ltrs
A pinch of saffron threads, soaked in a little hot milk
Cardamom seeds -2-3 (crushed)

For  garnishing:
Take some Cashew nut,pista ,almond and raisins

Procedure:


  1. First, soak the rice with a pinch of salt to it.
  2. Heat ghee in a vessel till it melts.
  3. To that add bay leave and some blackpepper.saute for a minute.
  4. Add half spoon of sugar to it and see that it turns to red color.
  5. Then add the soaked rice to it and fry for a minute.
  6. Add the milk to it and stir continuously till the mixture starts thickening.
  7. Add cashew nut,pista,raisins,almonds(fried in ghee) and the saffron threads to it.Simmer for 2-3 mins.
  8. Add the sugar and stir continously till  it dissolves properly.
  9. If you want u can add milkmaid at last to it or add some more sugar to it.
  10. Remove from heat and serve hot or keep it to cool.
